More and more , shipowners now are turning to TRANSWEX . Because we offer the highest quality ship repairs,shipchandling , garbage removal, transportation , sludge disposal on this area of Port of Santos/Brazil.

Port of Santos - based Transwex shipchandler & maritime services is licensed by Port Authorities to offer owners full range of shipchandling & ship repairs services , as well as, to act on behalf of shipping companies and agent operators to represent their needs in crew transportation , customs clearances of crew documents , luggages and other authorities.

Our company is based in Santos, nevertheless we are also affiliated with workshops in most Brazilian ports; under these circumstances we can attend, if necessary, any Brazilian port , also it it is required we can travel on board.

Our main objective is to resolve your vessels problems to the best of our ability, we are on call 24hrs a day, when you need us we will allways be there for your vessel, if you have outstanding items with the Port State Control we will do whatever is necessary for your vessel to leave on time.

Our Main Activities :

Main Engines and Auxiliary Engines maintenance and repair, replacement of crankshafts, performance evaluations etc. IHI Pielstick, Sulzer. B&W, MAN, etc.
Reconditioning of engine valve, spindles and seats, reconditioning of piston crowns with certificate of guarantee.

REWINDING OF ELECTRIC MOTORS AND GENERATORS: we have the best electric motor and generator repair workshop in Santos, we can repair any type and size of electric motors and generators with full written guarantee, supply of new electric motors, relays, contactor, starters, etc, for electric panels, with certificate of guarantee.

Turbocharger & steam turbine: overhauling, repair, fabrication of spare parts, fabrication of new blades with a full warrantee and classification.

Overhauling of turbo generators, turbo pumps, including reduction gear units, all units are our own projects and design.

We also carry out services as follows, all types of steel work, all types of machining and fabrication of parts A.P.S or by design.

PRE-PURCHASE SURVEYS. We can attend at any Brazilian or Latin American Port if necessary.

ELECTRONICS: Technical repairs and overhauling, spare parts, Supply of hardware & software. / Radar, Radio, VHF. Certification, EPIRB,
THERMAL INSULATION: steam pipe lagging, fuel lines, exhaust ducts, cold storage rooms, bulkheads etc, using non-toxic materials.

CARPENTRY & REFURBISHING: of cabins and accommodation areas, reupholstery of arm chairs – sofas and chairs, curtains and fabrication of furniture.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: all types of fire extinguishers (foam, water, Co2) foam analysis, life raft and life boat overhauling (all necessary certificates supplied).Supply of E.E.B.D

SHIPCHANDLING: we can also supply the following: engine ,deck ,
cabin,electrical and bonded stores.

Supply and fabrication of all types of oil seals, "O" rings, high pressure hoses, ball bearings, electronic digital readouts, electronic equipment,starters, relays and various other items.

REFRIGERATION SERVICE: Full reefer service, Digital Freon leak
detectors,spare parts, repairs, compressors, installations, air condition units.

Our technicians have many years of practical experience in there respective areas.

We also offer the following services :
REMOVAL OF ANY SCRAP METAL, i.e. Old liners,old cylinder covers, old piston crowns, old engine valves, Valves (fresh & sea water) old electric motors, turbo casings and old wire ropes.
We do not charge anything for removing, only the signing of the removal documents for customs release purposes.
