The Stand Comedy Club was established in 1995 and now boasts two comedy venues in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

    If you like comedy then you will love the stand. They have open mic nights and new talent nights and although everyone up there isn't the next jimmy carr or eddie izzard they can provide a fair few laughs and try their best to entertain the audience. The bar staff are friendly and efficient and the stand itself is clean and well presented. It is a bit like walking into a cave when you first enter as it is dark and cavernous. This is a great place to hear the burgeoning talents of glasgows up and coming comedians. Makes a change from going out drinking or dancing and sometimes is a great way to be entertained socially and escape from the rigours of real life.
