not good enough

booked car in 10 days in advance. arrived on the day only to be informed it was booked in for previous day. I was asked if i could leave my car all day and they would try and mot it for me. I had other appointments that day so could not leave car all day. Also when i called to book I asked if it would be ok to mot as my car has N. Ireland plates. I was informed could only decide that on the day when car went on the machine !! I called dvla and they told me the car could be mot'd using the chasis number That is just not good enough.
